I've known this verse since I was nine years old when my family and I had just arrived from the Philippines and we hardly understood the English language. This verse hung on the wall at my aunt's house. I remember I was so drawn to it that I read it over and over even though I barely comprehended what I was reading. I remember missing my friends from the Philippines so I wrote to them telling them how much I've missed them and included this verse in my letter. As I look back, it must've been a silly verse to write to them but I didn't know better. All I knew was that it had the word "Love" and thought I was doing something nice.

Evan surprised me with a two-night stay in a one-bedroom condo at the Oasis Resort for our one-year wedding anniversary celebration. We rode bicycles, relaxed and swam in their heated pools, cooked dinner together. We missed Royce so badly but it was a much needed time together. We're hoping to go back with family and friends in the very near future.

Emotional Rollercoaster

Hey ya'll, hope everyone has had a good year so far. Now that things the holidays are settling down, I can put more effort into blogging/sharing/venting, etc. One significant issue I notice about my behavior lately is my mood swings. I find myself very emotional at the littlest things. I don't think I was very emotional at all during my pregnancy or even before I got pregnant. But since I had my son, I feel very dramatic, overly sensitive, unattractive and I over analyze pretty much everything. Even when my husband tells me that I'm beautiful and that he loves me numerous times a day, I still feel undesirable. It's ridiculous....AREN'T I RIDICULOUS!! When I get upset in what seems like in a blink of an eye, I call it getting all "hulkified". You know when the man transforms into THE HULK. Ya that's right I went there. Read it, soak it in, learn it, for I will use the term "hulkified" a lot this emotional rollercoaster year.

Is anyone else feeling like me?

I'm random, scattered brain, OCC, meticulous, appreciative, silly, funny, and always try to look at the positive things in life and in people.

Nowadays, I crave Water, I KNOW I don't drink enough of it. We eat a lot of refined sugar and salty foods and I remind myself that I need to drink water as much as I can because it flushes everything we consume in our body much faster. Not to mention, its good for your skin. Drink more water to get healthy skin!!!

Dear Mom and Dad,

I am very grateful for the both of you. Thank you for providing us with so much love and care. We really did have a wonderful upbringing even though good times and bad. We did a lot of State Board mocking this past couple of weeks so I really had a boot camp beauty lesson...I'm sooo exhausted but its nothing I can't handle. I love it and the teachers are really impressed how well I'm getting it. It's no rocket science but if you work hard and practice then its easy peasy. As soon as I get home, I take care of Royce. This past month, he is being incredibly cute! He mimicks what we do, like talking on our cell phones. He also tries to repeat what we say.

Today was my first day of cosmetology school and it's all because of this lovely lady in the picture with me who ignited my desire and passion for makeup. She really inspired me to pursue a career as a freelance hair and make up artist. I attended her Glaminar this past June and was just amazed by the transformation she can do with makeup. My parents have always been there for me and my siblings, and I love them more than I can say. I love my dads sense of humor and my moms hard work and determination. They don't always get credit for the support they give us but they mean so much to me. I am truly one of the lucky ones.

um gee let me think...i tend to touch my face a lot, (ie. pick, scratch, squeeze) Gross huh! I didn't notice it until my sister pointed it out. I'm so envious of her soft and clear complexion. Why couldn't I have that? Darn u genes! I touch my face cuz it's so bumpy or dry or pimply and it causes my to break out even more!! ! But hey, at least I've identified the problem and now I can work on getting rid of that dirty habit. Time to prepare and repare!

Evan and I took Royce to the Dr. for his 1 yr appt. this morning and he got 3 shots and got his blood drawn. Poor guy! Everything looked good. He just has a few dry patches on some parts of his skin that I need to moisturize more often and also to tuck/pull/retract his weewee back daily or else his thingy will reattached or something. I got squeamish when the Dr. was tucking Royce's penis back. I just have to learn to deal with it and do it. He slept for a long time (2 hrs) as soon as we got home. Evan voted while I got us lunch. I voted by mail already. Don't forget to vote ya'll!

I can't believe my baby is ONE! Where has this year gone??? Before he was was born I couldn't wait to meet him and now I want to hold onto him as a little baby for as long as I can and wishing he'd stop growing so fast. I really loved the first year. Right now, he's really clingy and always wanting to be carried and I tell him to start walking already! But in my mind, I know I'm going to miss him wanting to be so close. Next he's gonna start walking and running away from me. *sniff sniff* Soon, I am gonna have a toddler!!! Waaaaahhhh!!! I've redesigned our room like every month so this time I will pick.....the main bathroom...more like renovate it and create a new style.

Executive Assistant/Document Specialist at an Oilwell Company....the people were grumpy, downers, and unfriendly (except from my friend Lian but she left during her pregnancy leave). I didn't want to be stuck at a job that I didn't love or have a passion for so I left to venture out other opportunities.

Speaking of cars, we just bought our first family car! It's a 2010 Mazda 5 Sport. It's a smaller version of a mini-van so we call it a micro-van. It has three rows of seating, can fit 6 people in although the third row is really for tiny people or kids. What I like about it is that it handles like a sports vehicle with twin sliding doors, ample cargo space, very affordable, easy on the gas, compact and excellent safety scores. It scored a 95 in consumer reports and my husband was sold! It's not as luxurious as our Toyota Camry Hybrid but we really needed a basic family car for our growing family. It's our first Mazda vehicle purchase and we could not be more pleased. Zoom-Zoom!

Baby Powder = Sand Remover

This past Sunday was Royce's first time on the beach. Janine's fabulous friends played volleyball while Evan Royce and I "relaxed" under the umbrella. I stressed out about Royce playing in the sand and watching his hands like a hawk to make sure they don't go near his mouth. It was cloudy when we got there. We only stayed for about two hours because we had Sophia's baptism to attend.

New Discovery

He had so much fun! He loved playing in the sand so much, he put some on his head. Did you know that baby powder is a great sand remover for sandy hands and feet? Thankfully Emily brought baby powder and taught me this. Such a lifesaver! Just sprinkle baby powder on any sandy areas and rub them in, this will remove all excess sand from your body. It's a must have in my beach bag from now on.
Word of caution: Try not to breathe in the baby powder when sprinkling into your body or your little ones. Use sparingly.

MyChelle Vegan Facial Cleanser: My Go-To Cleanser

Hello!

I'd like to tell you really quickly about this new facial cleanser that I've been using and absolutely love! It is the Fruit Enzyme Clenser by MyChelle Dermaceuticals. It is great for All skin types and all ingredients are pure and effective..or so they claim to promise...Anywhoo after I've tried it out for what seems like several weeks now, I noticed that I get a lot less breakouts during my hormonal monthly stages which is great! They are non-greasy, free of harsh chemicals and none of that artificial perfumey smells...blech! I'm loving it even more since my face is somewhat sensitive. Not only are they vegan and cruelty-free (no animal testing) but they are pretty affordable too!

As soon as I get home, I clean off all my makeup so I can play with Royce. It's necessary for me to kiss him and coddle him as soon as I get home...it's in our contract =) They are great for makeup removal too. You can get them at your local Whole Foods store or online. Whatever floats your boat.

This is the first product I've used on me and I'm sure it's not the last.

Evan has been cooking every weekend for the family. He LOVES experimenting and creating new dishes. I'm so lucky to have a husband who enjoys cooking for his family. He's our modern day hunter gatherer. He's been making pizza, cajun style shrimp (like in Boiling Crab), filet mignon steak with wine reduction sauce just to name a few. We were doing our costco weekend run (his favorite store of all time). When we entered I saw the camcorder that I really wanted, the canon vixia. It was about $600 and knew it wasn't an absolute necessity. Then we saw this amazing KitchenAid mixer. Evan's eye widened and he got so excited...soo adorable...after much deliberation and a riveting presentation on why we need this massive contraption. He convinced me that we absolutely needed one. I finally gave in and agreed to get it. So then we spent another 20 minutes deciding on what color to get. The choices were Black, Gray, and Red. Then I pointed out that he was the girl and I was the boy that day since he wanted the mixer and I wanted the camcorder. We just cracked up.

And here she is! Isn't she stunning? He attempted to make biscuits for the first time with her but I kind of messed it up as his sous-chef. We were reading the instructions on how to make the dough and methinks we over spent too much time watch it mix in the mixing bowl..it was really fascinating!! Anyways, they are still getting acquainted.

I wanted to commend Paulette, my dear oldest friend for putting a spectacular 3rd Birthday Little Mermaid Celebration for her daughter, Madie last Saturday. It was located in the most amazing water park in the city of Stanton. It had a pirate ship playground, wall climbing for little children or little people (it was literally about my height so I couldnt even climb it..believe me I tried!), padded mats for the kids to play and a water park!!! We didn't have anything like that growing up. My inner child is soo jealous...(it's ok cuz we will just have to live vicariously through Royce...Mwahahaha!)
